Greetings diners. Halloween is not here yet but our Christmas menu is ready.. and the bookings are rolling in. I do admire people who can be that organised. ( I particularly admire them if they are friends of mine and they are organised on my behalf - meaning I get to eat out over the festive season...because left to me it would be a last minute scrabble.... )

CHRISTMAS LUNCH    £25

 

   

 STARTERS

Smooth five spice and orange  duck liver parfait with sweet pear puree, salt and pepper crackling and toasted fennel brioche

Roast aubergine and Morangie brie terrine with a ginger and pumpkin chutney

 

Hay smoked, truffle and parmesan cured salmon on a sweet potato pancake with a rocket and shallot salad

.

Wee LOCHAN cullen skink or lightly curried lentil, parsnip and apple soup

MAIN COURSES

                               

Roast turkey with cranberry and bread sauces, chestnut stuffing, brussel sprouts with  almond crumb, chipolatas wrapped in smoked bacon and goose fat roast potatoes.

Pan-seared fillet of cod with a sweetcorn and mango relish, crushed potatoes and a saffron and orange sauce

                            

Roast haunch of venison (served pink) with spiced haggis bon bons, winter chantrelles, parsnip rosti and a blueberry and roast garlic jus

 Crisp gnocchi of provencal vegetables with courgette, lemon and ricotta wellington and a plum tomato and haricot bean cassoulet
