Greetings diners. Halloween is not here yet but our Christmas menu is ready.. and the bookings are rolling in. I do admire people who can be that organised. ( I particularly admire them if they are friends of mine and they are organised on my behalf - meaning I get to eat out over the festive season...because left to me it would be a last minute scrabble.... )

CHRISTMAS LUNCH    £25

 

   

 STARTERS

Pressed terrine of duck, madeira and thyme wtih toasted brioche, celeriac remoulade, golden raisin puree and seasonal leaves

Roast butternut squash and coconut timbale wtih a caramelised pear and walnut salad

 

Fennel and treacle cured tartare of salmon with warm anchovy and parsley soda bread and winter slaw

Wee LOCHAN cullen skink or  spiced aubergine an red chilli soup with pumpkin chutney

MAIN COURSES

                               

Roast turkey with cranberry and bread sauces, chestnut stuffing, brussel sprouts with  almond crumb, chipolatas wrapped in smoked bacon and goose fat roast potatoes.

Pan-seared fillet of cod withboulangere potatoes, brown shrimp and rice in herb panko with a lemon and tarragon cream

                            

Roast haunch of venison (served pink)piquant red cabbage, horseradish and chestnut rosti, glazed heritage carrots and a port sauce

 Crisp gnocchi of honey roast parsnip and pesto wtih caramelised shallot, spinachj and brie de meaux pithivier and seasonal leaves
